Can't I just build my website or app with an AI tool?
You can build something quickly, and for some people that's the right start. The hard part is everything around it: being found on Google and in AI answers, handling customer data securely and legally, automating quotes and bookings, passing app store review, and keeping it all running. That's the part we focus on — and we use AI ourselves where it genuinely speeds things up.
Who is Doctran for?
First-time founders and non-technical people with a business idea, small businesses and sole traders such as window cleaners, garages and trades, and anyone who needs a mobile app built and published. We work with clients in the UK, the US and Europe.
Do you work on a project basis or as a partner?
Both. Project-based means a fixed, agreed scope that you own outright. Partnership means we share some of the risk — for example reduced upfront cost in exchange for a revenue share — when the idea and fit are right. We'll tell you honestly which makes sense.
Will you keep my idea confidential?
Yes. We're happy to sign a mutual NDA before you share details, we never sell or share enquiry data, and on project work you own the intellectual property. See our idea protection page for exactly how we handle it.
Why don't you list prices?
Because every project is different and a price list would either overcharge simple projects or under-scope complex ones. After a short conversation we give you a clear written quote — no hidden extras, no long lock-in contracts.
Are you a big agency?
No, and that's deliberate. We're a small UK team. You talk directly to the people building your product, and we only take on projects we believe we can make a success.
